Wanted: Volunteers!

We can’t make this weekend happen without volunteers! For the third edition of FILTh weekend, May 14-17 2026, we’re in need of new additions to our volunteer team. Most positons are filled, but we are still looking for Culinary Commandos and one Helping Hand! If this role sounds like it might be up your alley, or if you have any questions, let us know via filth-weekend(at)riseup.net

🧤 Helping Hand

We need your helping Helping Hand! As a “Helping Hand”, you’ll be responsible to prepare the workshop spaces with participants assisting you as a work shift. Additionally, you are the first point of contact for venue-related questions during the event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing workshop spaces (room set-up, coordinate moving around furniture, opening and closing the room divider wall).
  • Being the first contact person for participants and workshop facilitators to answer questions about the venue during the event.
  • Ensuring adequate supplies (coffee bags, toilet paper) are available.
  • Coordinating cleaning activities of the venue on Sunday, and of course you can also go to the play party!

We value your input on where extra hands (work shifts) are needed and where you feel comfortable working independently or seeking spontaneous assistance if needed. Experience from last time shows that this role allows you to attend workshops and the play party, a perfect position for people who cannot sit still 😉

6-8 Culinary Commandos

Let’s fuel our learning, connections, and perversions! We’re on the lookout for kitchen volunteers to join us in creating delicious, vegan, and healthy shared meals at FILTh 🔥💜🔥

Every Culinary Commando must be available on Thursday during the day to prepare the majority of the food for the upcoming days, as well as for one shorter shift on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to add the finishing touches and serve up the perversion-fueling meals.

We’re seeking volunteers to fulfill two different roles:

  • People experiences experienced in kitchens and/or VoKu (soup kitchen) cooking, and ready to take some responsibility for a meal. Fear not, detailed recipes and plans can be provided from previous editions if you’d like that, but the ability to work independently is a must.
  • People who enjoy chopping, and are able to work in a team.

*the name FILTh is insipired by the german abbreviation FLTI, in English WLTI (Women, Lesbian, Trans and Inter). We are looking for volunteers belonging to the target group, this of course includes non-binary folks.
